At Tufts China Care Dumplings our goal is to teach children about Chinese language and culture through fun games, crafts, and other activities. Through monthly meetings the kids come to create meaningful relationships with our members, who often act as role models and mentors. Currently kids range in age from about 4 to 11 years old.

Past activities include making paper dragons to celebrate the new year, playing Chinese hopscotch and, of course, cooking dumplings! Although the group typically consists of adopted children ages 3-11, we welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about Chinese culture and would like to join us!

From an FCC family: "Our family has been participating in the Tufts University Dumplings program for a few years now and we love it...so we'd like to spread the word! The program is small and intimate, which works really well for our daughters. The Tufts students who volunteer for the program are warm and kind; they're wonderful role models for our children. Some of the Tufts students are Chinese adoptees themselves which is just an amazing connection for all of the program participants!"
