The Chinese New Year Lion Dance Parades are Boston Chinatown's most exciting event!

Boston's Chinatown becomes a pedestrian-only area for this Chinese New Year event, filled with troops of colorful lion dancers, drums, cymbals, firecrackers and great food. Come down and join the fun!

In case you remember that this this parade takes place in February, you're right.  However, Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, and it takes place later than usual this year.
