Parenting Adopted Teens woth Katie Naftzger, LICSW

The teen years are some of the hardest years for adoptive parents (and all parents for that matter!). And, yet, it can be hard to find the help you need. The stakes are high. This four-week group will help you to prepare your adopted teen for adulthood and stay connected for the long haul. My experience with adopted teens and families is extensive. I am in private practice in Newton, MA where I see adopted children, teens, young adults and families. I am also working on a book about parenting adopting teens with Jessica Kingsley Publishers.

I am offering two courses – one local and one online. It will be geared for parents who have adopted teens but is open to all adoptive parents who are interested in this topic.

When: Four Mondays. 12:30-1:30 pm, Eastern Standard Time, to begin on November 2nd, 2015 (Nov 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.)

Group Leader: Katie Naftzger, LICSW - Katie has been working in the adoption community for over 15 years as an adoption therapist, speaker and consultant.  She is a Korean born adoptee and is passionate about empowering parents, families and teens.  She has presented workshops about parenting adopted teens at Vietnam Culture Camp, Korean-American Adoptee Network Conference, and Adoptive Families Together, and others. Along with her groups, Katie is in private practice in Newton, MA.
