My Life in China: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

A special film screening of the award-winning documentary, My Life in China. The screening will feature a live panel discussion with Kenneth Eng, a former resident of Castle Square, Guggenheim Fellowship winner, and Director of the film.

The film investigates Kenneth Eng’s complicated relationship between his two cultures: Chinese and American. During this movie, Kenneth Eng travels back to China with his father, learning the story of his immigration after fleeing the Cultural Revolution in 1966. This emotional documentary explores what home means and highlights the risks, challenges, and struggles that many parents face while trying to make a better life for their children.

Hosted by the Castle Square Tenant Association teen program.

Free and open to the public. Light refreshments provided.
