Celebrate the Year of the Dog with Families with Children from China New England in Boston's Chinatown!

Calling all adoptees, their families and friends: come celebrate the Year of the Dog with us in Boston's Chinatown!

11:00 - 3:00 at the Pao Arts Center

FREE ADMISSION!

On February 25 Boston's Chinatown hosts the biggest Lunar New Year parade in New England with troupes of colorful lion dance dancers ringing in the Year of the Dog.

FCCNE will be at the new Pao Arts Center in Chinatown with BCNC (Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center) from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Come huddle indoors and have your creative and artistic impulses flourish during the New Year! Drop in for free family-friendly activities including lantern making and Chinese macrame. Kids 5 - 12 years old can participate in drop-in Lion Dance workshops at 12:00, 12:30, and 1:00 pm.

Visit the FCCNE room there where we will have snacks and low key Lunar New Year activities. Meet and connect with each other and warm up in between watching the lion dances on the streets of Chinatown. All are welcome! We want to see you there - adoptees of all ages - college students, teens, children - their families and friends! Come by yourself or with a friend and meet FCCNE board members, families and adoptees - we look forward to seeing you.

ADMISSION IS FREE but please register so we know how many people to expect!

Older adoptees can also register for special FCCNE workshops held at the Pao Arts Center - space is limited and we expect these to fill quickly:

  • FCCNE Lion Dance Workshop for adoptees 13 or older - free but pre-registration required
  • FCCNE Dumpling Workshop for adoptees 16 or older - $15 and registration required (Please note: You do not have to be a member of FCCNE to attend - all Chinese adoptees 16 or older are welcome to participate!)
