Celebrate the Year of the Ox with us!

Families with Children from China New England has teamed up with China's Children International and Pao Arts Center to present a virtual Lunar New Year Celebration! Plan to join us for a special, creative, and safe Lunar New Year with family-friendly virtual activities on Saturday, February 13th including:

• Lion Dance! 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Lion Dance Workshop - Led by Nuwa Athletic Club, learn basic lion dance moves in the comfort of your home.
  

• Lunar New Year Wish Tree Kick Off! 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Lunar New Year Wish Tree Celebration with CCI and FCCNE - Share your hopes and dreams for the new year on this virtual wishing tree. The Lunar New Year Wish Tree has been a favorite tradition with FCCNE families and friends for years. Hang your virtual red envelopes (hóngbāo 紅包) containing wishes for the year ahead on the tree's branches. As more wishes are added, the tree becomes a beautiful display of hope-filled red envelopes.
  

*If you can’t make it to the Lunar New Year Wish Tree opening event, it will be open for responses from February 13 through February 26. Sign up anyway to get your instructions on to add to our collective wishes for the Year of the Ox. Instructions for the zoom celebration and wish tree will be emailed to you. Be sure to double check your spam filter.

• Dumplings! Learn how to make traditional new year dumplings with Valerie Li’s In the Kitchen (At Home) class. Full recipe videos will be released on the Pao Arts Center YouTube Channel.
